0. V. Beck, Sr. Passes Away In AmarilloO. V. Beck, of Amarillo formerresident of Nocona and one time mayor of this city, died Sunday morning in a Dallas hospital after an illness of one year. Mr. Beck had been a patient in an Amarillo hospital for some time and when his condition suddenly became grave he was rushed to a Dallas hospital where he passed away Sunday morning.Funeral services were conducted in Amarillo Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with burial there.The deceased served Nocona as mayor for one term, was a trustee of the school system and is responsible for several brick buildings now in Nocona. He left here in 1040 for Wichita Falls where he lived for a while, later moving to Amarillo where he had made his home since.Survivors include his wife, one son and three daughters. Those from Nocona who attended the funeral services were Mrs. M. K. Thrasher, Mrs. W. V. Barbee, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Good.speod and Mr. and Mrs. L. Af. Staley of Ringgold. -o-âKJ
