Paddock, who left his entire estate to a church, has been filed in Circuit Court by his nephew and niece.Paddock died on March 15,1965, in Centralia at the age of 74. His will, dated Oct. 17. 1962. left his estate to the First Methodist Church of Godfrey for construction of an educational building as a memorial to his wife, Susan B. Paddock, and his mother, Sophia Paddock.The petition, filed by Harry L. Paddock and Mildred E. Bligh, claim# that at the time Paddock made the will he was under the “influence, domination and control’’ of the minister and other officials of the church.It also claims that Paddock was induced to execute the will “contrary to his deliberate judgment, reason or will,” and that at the time Paddock “was of unsound mind and memory and did not have the physical or mental capacity, power or ability to make a will or understand the nature and extent of his property .... or disposition he w wished to make of his proper- Mai ty.” 1The will was admitted to Probate Court on March 18, with the Old National Bank, Centralia, as executor.
