Gethsemane was then under the leadership of the Rev.Glenn T. Settle. , .The Urban renewal plans required the church to seek a new home. After a short stay at the Christian Community Center,3712 Scovin Avenue, In March of 1354, the edifice at i8*S East 79th Street was secured. This was the climax of a sustained financial drive.
