FRIENDLY NEIGHBORSIN REGULAR MEETINGThe Friendly Neighbors met Nov. 13 at the home of Lelia Southern with 16 members present. After the Lord’s Prayer was* repeated by all and Happy Birthday sang to Grace Reagan, the delicious dinner was served.Roll call chosen by Bernice, “Your Favorite Season of the Year” was answered by Geraldine Freeborn, Bernice Coulson, Gladys Tipton, Myrtle Starr, Marie Davison, Grace Reagan, Ruby Wood, Grace Utterback, Emma Forsythe, 11a Stober, Myrtle Hobart, Martha Mitchell, Marietta Campbell, Florence Kirby, No-rene Rutliff and the hostess.A report was given by Myrtle Starr on the Ottumwa trip on Nov. 5 which was greatly enjoyed by nine members, Geraldine, Martha, Myrtle S., Susie, Gladys, Florence, Marie, Grace Utterback, Grace Reagan and Ray Davison, a guest. They went on tour of telephone company in the morning and was amazed at the intricate system that permitted us to talk all over the world. Luncheon was enjoyed at the Hi-Way Inn.In the afternoon they toured the Lowenberg Bakery where they were again surprised by the method of preparation of the dough to the baked loaf. It was never touched by hands.Martha received her birthday gift, and Grace Reagan’s birthday cake was baked by Leila. It was decided to omit the Thanksgiving meeting.The next meeting will be Dec. 11 with Norene Rutliff and is the Christmas meeting and gift exchange.N*(ehf(c1
