Veta Simmons. Dowd's sister, tries to put her brother in an institution because she thinks he's crazy. Then, she and one of the doctors also begin to see Harvey. At the close of the play Veta gives approval to El wood’s imaginaryfriend, Harvey.Two scenes are in the libraryof the Dowd mansion, the rest of the play, in the doctor’s office.Miss Prather said the cast interprets the play’s message to be “It’s dreams that keep usgoing.”Harvey is the first of two three-act plays to be presented at Baldwin High School this year.
