Baldwin Planning Play This WeekJuniors at Baldwin School will give the play Harvey” at 8 15 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the school gym The play, by Mary Chase, wasnoUni as one ot the best Broadway productions in 1W4 The Baidwin production will include the following cast: Sharon Andrews as Myrtle Simmons, Terri Kepple as Veta Simmons. Mac U'ltnaker as FI wood Dowd, Dot-tie Zeliff as Miss Johnson. Sally Hey as Mrs Chauvenet, Janet Florence as Miss Kelly, registered nurse.Also, Jim Turner as Wilson. Woody Hobson as Dr. Lyman Sanderson, Phil Lamb as Dr.William Chumley, Cheryl Dod-der as Betty Chumley, Larry Francq as Judge Gaffney and David Corel as the cab driver Karen Prather, dramatics and English teacher at BaldwinHigh, directs the play Stage managers are Linda Morganand Dottie Zeliff The three - act play tells the story of the rabbit Harvey, a Celtic fairy spirit that only El-wood Dowd can see. Veta Simmons. Dowd's sister, tries to put her brother in an institution because she thinks he's crazy. Then, she and one of the doctors also begin to see Harvey. At the close of the play Veta gives approval to El wood’s imaginaryfriend, Harvey.Two scenes are in the libraryof the Dowd mansion, the rest of the play, in the doctor’s office.Miss Prather said the cast interprets the play’s message to be “It’s dreams that keep usgoing.”Harvey is the first of two three-act plays to be presented at Baldwin High School this year. The senior class will give the second on April 23 and 24
