DEER PLENTIFUL IN HILL COUNTRYDeer were plentiful in the Hill Country onopening day of the hunting season as wasproved by a Times photographer, when he snapped the above photo about three o’clock in the afternoon opening day. One hundred and twenty deer had been brought in to the ice house at this time. By evening the total hadrisen to over two hundred. Doing a good Job in seeing the big, fat animals were properly eooled are Melvin Bull, left, and Dick Furman, local insuranceman, who had taken time off from his duties to assist his father-in-law, Dick ^Eastland, ice house manager in caring for the overflowing crowd.
