PIHuron Boys’ QuartetAppears On ProgramsFirst Place Winners From High School In A HI VETS* Contest Receive Bookings.The Huron High school boys’ Quartet, known as the “Three Flats and One Sharp,” and winner in last Saturday night’s AMVETS’ radio show contest, has been called upon to entertain on several programs.Monday night the boys sang ona program offered by the “Fire-land League Mixers*’ at Huron, and tonight the boys will sing for the Lutheran Brotherhood dinner meeting, also at Huron. The four boys, William Basilone, tenor; Fred Hammond, lead tenor, George Muehlhauser, baritone, and Richard Payne, bass, have gained an enviable reputation in their own and adjacent communities for presenting entertaining and amusing vocal numbers, many of which are of the novelty variety and caricatured by appropriate costumes.The first three-named boys are seniors and the last is a junior. They were organized and subsequently coached by Miss Margaret Williams, the school’s supervisor of music. They sang at Lakeside and at Ohio State University during the past summer season.t
