Condonville.Mr.L. H. Taylor and Mr. T. E. Condon entertained some friends at Durham station last Friday evening. Mr. Taylor made the violin talk rapidly while Mr. Condon did some very artistic work on the banjo.Miss Belle Shannon had a very narrow escape from serious injury last Tuesda\’. She was getting into the buggy when the king bolt broke and threw her to the ground lascerating her left hand quite badly.Mr. Edward Forrester is making a great success collecting finances for the church. Speed along the good work.Miss Della Glass who is at present sewing for Mrs. Ed Forrester, is expected at Condonville soon.Mr. H. B. Lee is preparing for winter sport by the purchase of a ferret*Mrs. Jessup and her niece expect to leave soon for Belaidere, 111., for sojourn with friends. We wish them a pleasant journey.The friends of Mr. L. Crlesel and R. W. Lee spent a very pleasant evening at their residence last Saturday evening. The boys are royr' entertainers and refreshments were*served and card playing was the order of the evening.Mr. T. E. Condon hopes to finish fixing his horse power this week.Mr. Ed Obi me and Mr. Speckeen had quite an exciting race from Condonville to Laporte, Saturday forenoon. Mr. Speckeen, we believe, took first prize, go faster next time, Ed.
