Office* of Dr. C. B. MacPaniel and son, Ir. Donald L. MacPaniel, Optometrists, at 627 Central Avenue, Connersville, Indiana, were re-opened Monday, November 7, after extensive remodeling. While the work was in progress the past few* months they have had temporary offices on the third floor of the Heineman Building.The newly-remodeled rooms constitute one of the most completely equipped establishments in Indiana for the practice of Optometry. The office has been enlarged, redecorated, and equipped with new and modern furnishings, and instruments for a complete visual analysis and examination of the eyes, as well as for visual training.The old black structural-glass office front has been replaced by one of Old English style, with vari-colored flat creek-rocks artistically arranged; the specially built Old English limed-oak door is recessed from the street with a pottery tile ramp to the entrance, eliminating a step. The large window has been replaced with two multi-paned windows in oak frames, and the stucture above the window carried out the English style with light ray stucco, creosoted cypress, and vari-colored slate roof with copper trim.An addition of twenty-five feet has been made at the rear to provide needed space for the reception room and business office, a visual training and consultation room, two examination rooms, a dispensing room, private office, and a larger room for the optical laboratory. All rooms are soundproofed and air-conditioned.The interior decoration^ for the reception room and office include limed oak panels on the south side and alcove, a soft green for the walls with lighter tint for the hallway through to the laboratory; oyster white ceilings, and gray rubber-tiled floors enlivened with squares of red and green. New furnishing* are a new gray steel desk and matching Plasteel chairs with foam-rubber-cushioned nine-green seats, and new fitting tables with matching stool and chairs, replacing former mahogany furniture.Technician Robert I..
