Hursi'« Broke a Leg.August Saeger, who resides about twelve miles southeast of I ho city in Portage county, lost a horse in ibis city IilsL Wednesday evening. The animal slipped on Lho brick pavement on ilie east side of ilie river ami could not get up. After several til tempts to get tli2 lioruG up it was found that it line a broken leg, and as it was impossible to do anything for it the animal was shot.Tho loss was cieHe a severe one for Mr. Saeger, as be lost another horse only a short time ago, Another thing that has set him back for several years was the fact that he fell from a barn that lie syhs building several y^Lirs ago, hurting his back in sucli a manner that lie was hardly able o be iiboat, and looping him f 10:11 work much of the lime. During the time that be I ms been laid r up svHli this accident he has done considerable doctoring, but his improvement has aeon very slow.
