tNerangis Jr. Miss EmceeNick Nerangis, owner/operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Winchester, Stephens City and Charles Town, W.Va., will be the emcee for the Shenandoah Valley Jr. Miss program Saturday at 8 p.m. at James Wood Ridge Campus.Nerangis has been emcee for the Jr. Miss program for several years and is the father of a former Shenandoah Valley Jr. Miss, Lisa Nerangis.Mr. Nerangis and his wife Kathy originated The Small Fries, a puppet group. One of the puppets, Miss I Wanna Wynn will visit the Jr. Miss program.Judges will meet with the contestants on Saturday for individual interviews, which will account for 35 percent of their total score. Judgesfor the event are:• Lt. Col. Lloyd D. “Dee” Miller, commander of the 3535th USAF Recruiting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base, Md.Miller’s decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with two o*ak leaf clusters and an Air Force Commendation Medal.•Paula Caudle, of Martinsburg, W.Va., who has twice chaired the Eastern Panhandle Jr. Miss Program. The Jayeee/Jaycee Women-sponsored program recognized the project as outstanding on both the state and local levels in 1977.• Winston and Denna Smith, who operate the Inwood Performing Arts Company in W.Va. Smith, the director, ranks high among Latin and ballroom dancers. His wife, Denna, is the Center’s artistic director. She has studied at Dorothy Ewing Studio in Winchester, Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music, and American University.• Roger Lockhart, an account supervisor for Needham, Harper Worldwide in McLean.Judges for the Scholastic category are: Leslie Robertson, chairman, math teacher at Robert E. Aylor Middle School; Juanita E. Enswiler, professor of mathematics, Shenandoah College; Dr. Thomas N. Layne,director of computer service, Shenandoah College; Gail W. Rush, mathematics teacher; Robert E. Aylor Middle School; and E. Mike Van Emburgh, guidance counselor, Robert E.
