NO 1 KO 1*1111 s for the Lufkin crowd attending the annual FREDGNIA SECTIONAL BRIDGE TOURNAMENT in Nacogdoches over the weekend, but they had a great time playing. JUANITA LeBLANC and MYRT ATKINSON came in fifth in overall in open pairs. Session winners were ALICE WILLIFORS, LORENE GARTMAN and MARIE LEATHER WOOD. Playing in the tourney for various sessions were SARA ROPER, BLANCHE BROWDER, FAY WEBSTER, HELEN CHRISTIE, BODINE BARR, BILLIE BOB CARSON, NELL KIMMEY, RUTH LONG, MICKEY PAT-TERSON and numerous other Lufkinites. Among dignitaries in the bridge field playing in the tournament was JAMES JACOBY of Richardson, son of the great bridge player, OSWALDJACOBY. Son James is quite an expert player lionessClub President MARY GIBBS presided over the meeting of theLufkin Lioness Club last week when, they met at Youngblood*s.• • • •
