Cast announced for 'Amahl'Franklin Civic Operetta Association has announced the cast for the Nov 25-26 production of “Amahl and the Night Vfsitors The lead character, Amahl, will be portrayed by 12-year-old Ed Stuart, son of Mr and Mrs David Stuart of Oil City Hisi •fell from an 11-foot monkey bar and broke both of his arms The lawsuit claimed the equipment was not properly maintained or designed and that Crowthers did not properly supervise the activities, resulting in the injury The complaint, filed by Stranahan and Stranahan, sought $10,000 in each of two separate counts of negligence on the part of both Crowthers and the school The 13,000 settlement Includes $750 in attorneys' fees, $20 for a medical report and the remaining $2,230 for Mattox and Bryson to cover medical expenses and other damages Thomas Frampton, a Mercer attorney, represented Crowthers and the school districtmother will be played by Jeannlne Abel, who is also directing the show The three kings will be Jim Weis*of Titusville and Al Shilling and Doran Gilhousen ofFranklin.Featured dancers will be Robin Koble and Mike Burrell Other cast members will include: David Shuffstali,Alicia Winters. Teresa Keith, Cathy Brannon. Becky Kendall Tiah Way, Steve Teig, John Powell, Marge Schultheis, Jo Donaldson, Joetta Davis, Andy Minnlck, Julia Bowen, Rick Loeffert, Karen Richards, Jenny Hines, Michelle Turk, Dave Huff Production staff will include Gerry Daniels, producer; Robin Koble, choreographer; Cliff Mlnnick, Toby Saltarelll and Sharon Wltherup, set design, Pat Larimore, costumes; Joetta Davis and Sue Shilling, make-up, Roland Davis, lighting design; Rick Wendt, Rick Capozzi and Joel Parquette, lights, Gerry Daniels and Millie Bark, accompanists, and Joan Loeffler and Judy Braymer, publicity.This production will be in place of the regular fall children's show and will be staged In the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church The Saturday show will begin at 8 p.m. - the Sunday performance at 7:30 pm.
