! JOINT INSTITl'TR■i The joint institute of Springfield and ! Seipio townships was held at Scipio ! (’enter Saturday, November 6. The chairman, Prof. Richolz. called the vmeeting to order and the institute joined in singing “America.” Mr. 1 Gary and Miss Lulu Ixdehners furnished the music, which interspersed the program.I Plato, the Teacher.’* was ably hanfl-’ led by Prof. Eicholz, who conducted the work as a class exercise. The discussion covered the'‘Apology.’’ “Euthy-denius.” Pothagoras*’ and the “Symposium.’* Milo Gorroll next led the i class to many important conclusions in language and arts.The afternoon’s program was opened hv instrumental music. H. B. Roile» discussed “Geography,” using the globe to illustrate many points. Miss Lizzie Leiohner gave a dialect lecture on ap-| pies, afFording much amusement. The : subject of music was ably handled by Gary Leichner. A recitation from Philln Dotv followed.
