Oltumivansat Adelines conventionMrs. Dorothy Ford and Mrs. Dorothy Thrasher of Ottumwa attended the Sweet Adeline International Convention in Seattle, Wash.The “Tetrachords” of Kirkwood, Mo., placed third in the competition entered by 39 quartets. This group will be featured in the local Sweet Adeline show Dec. 6 at the high school auditorium.Fourteen choruses competed.The Ottumwans also took a sightseeing trip to Puget Sound, where the Indians prepared a meal of salmon baked over an open pit.The 1977 convention will be in London, England, and many members of the Ottumwa chapter plan to attend.Mrs. Sharyl Woolums is the local director, and Mrs. Eleanor Simonton is president.
