R. Foster, Detective Agency, Brandon, Man.:1 located Leander McDonald Ford at Auburn, Mass., and ordered his arrest, where he is now held for you. Says he will return without extradition papers. Wire reply to me or Harry W- Rowe, chief of police, Anbury Mass.Win. B. Watts,Chief Inspector. Leander Ford, it will be remembered. drove aXdellvery wagon in this city, and stepped from the wagon into Kemnay school, as teacher.Here and at Kemnay, leander was very smooth, and by his winning ways made himself a great favorite with many of the ladies with whom he became acquaintedHe taught scnool at Kemnay, got friendly with everybody, financed many deals of one kind or another, made a move to start housekeeping, and finally married a Kemna.v girl in this city.It became rumored that Leander had another wife living—perhaps more than one, Leander heard therumor without much delay, and though he was closely watched, he suddenly disappeared.With the announcement of hts disappearance the sensational particulars of his escapads became known and the police took the matter up.But weeks passed and not a. word of Leauder was heard. It seemed as if the earth had opened up and swallowed the dapper little teacher wmwas such an active figure wherevehe appeared.A warrant was issued for the ar rest of Ford for bigamy, and the cast was placed in the hands of the pro vincial police. Some of the partiet particularly interested in apprehend ing the fugitive went further, am placed the matter with Detectiv* Foster Foster covered the country with circulars giving a description v Ford and attaching pictures of thlt; Kemnay teacher. The police at ever? centre in the east got one of the cir culars, with the result that there wa; a general look-out in police circles everywhere for Ford.Detective Foster soon got on hb man's whereabouts, and for severs days has had Ford practically local od at .Auburn,MMass.. where the Bus. ton police have rounded up the teach er.Detective Foster, upon receiving the Boston despatch, immediate}) turned the matter over to the crows authorities. It is not known yet whether Ford will be brought bad here to answer the charge madi against him. »
