Patti whom the enterprising entrepreneur may be fortunate enough to discover in schoolroom or nursery.—Mr. Willie Edouin has in preparation for production at the Strand about Christmas a fairy extravaganza in two acts, called “Snow White,” written by Mr. Alec Nelson. Among the dramatis personce figure seven dwarfs; and Mr. Edouin, fully alive to the advantage of realistic effects upon the stage, is now on the look-out for the required number of pigmies. Should these; be unobtainable, he will content h nself w :h children in the parts. Mr. Edouin himself will represent a fairy’s son, who, however, has been deprived of most of his supernatural attributes. At the same theatre will be produced on the 28th of November, a new play entitled “The Jackal,” which should be welcomed by the profession, as it deals chiefly with the inner life of the actor. Miss Gertrude Kingston will be seen in it for the first time since her accident.
