Trustee Michelle Kaminski explained this is the last contract to be signed as part of Mountain View’s harmonization of contracts, as a result of amalgamation.Contract ratifiedTrustees approved the ratification of the Canadian Union of Public Employee’s contract with an agreementChance for a tourThe division has a unique opportunity to pick up its recently ordered school buses at the plant in Georgia.Michaleski explaiend it costs the company to ship the buses to Canada so it offers school divisions the opportunity to pick them up.“So what some divisions have elected to do is go down at the company’s expense. The company will take whoever comes down on a full tour of their facilities,” lie said. “It's a great opportunity to see how the buses are made and why they do some of the things they do with construction techniques.Tearful farewellAfter 14 years as a trustee, GayleneDutchyshcn bid a tearful farewell to fellow board members, thanking them for their friendship and support. Commenting on her years on the board, Dutchyshcn mused she first had to hire a baby sitter and is now planning a wedding.Smaller than usual crowd attendsChildren in the area must be growing up or the colder weather prevented a good number of them from attending the Halloween party at MCC on Oct. 28. The smaller than usual crowd enjoyed showing off their costumes and playing assorted games. Lonica McKinney won the jellybean count hitting the exact number.
