ftILions ClubSponsorsThe Lions Club of Pleasantville sponsored the annual Hallowe'en dance Thursday, Oct. 31, in the high school gymnasium.The festivities started with a parade around the town followed bv Hie judging of costumes at the gym,A first prize of $-1 was given to the following for these different costumes: prettiest, Gloria .Me* Cammon; funniest, Cathy Rum* baugh; most original, Gary Smith; best couple, Helen Thornton and Betsy Meabon and character portrayal, Lavonne Smith.The judges include Rev. Shaffer, Mrs. Garland Archer, Mrs. Arther Weekly, and Mrs. M. Johnson.r i. After the judging, a square dance was held in the gym with music by Max Dunham and his orchestra. During this time, cider and donuts were served.The decorating in the gym was done by members of the junior and senibr classes.. William Forsythe, president of the Lions Club, stated that he was pleased with the .attendance and the interest shown in this annual project.$
