Manana and T. Dorsey in his first week at the new Palladium, dancers really get a chance to kick out. Phil Harris is back at his hide-out, the Wil-shire Bowl, and if the Grove isn’t too rich for your blood you can hear Hal Kemp.Speaking of the Palladium, as a press agent’s stunt they buried 30 records under the floor to be kept there until the year 2000. The recordings are treated against weather conditions, and include such goodies as “Marie,” “Sing, Sing, Sing,” “I’ll Never Smile Again,” and “Three Little Fishies.” Wonder how terrific these favorites will sound in 60 years.
