SPRING RIVER ITEMS.There was a ’possum hunt party composed of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Bes-sey, and Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Madden qut on Spring river last Tuesday night and at 11 o’clock they came in with two big ten-pound ’possums. On Thursday a big ’possum dinner was given by Mrs. Bessey. The guests were Cort Stevens, of Carl Junction, and Mr. and Mrs. Madden of South Joplin. Another big hunt took place Wednesday night and dinner was served ty Mrs. Madden. The guests i were Mr. and Mrs. Dee Bessey and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson. A good time was had by all. On Friday night Mr. Wilson caught a big eight-pound fish in Spring river and the following day Mrs. Wilson gave a big* fish fry. Thlt;^ guests were Ike Todd of Chitwood, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Madden. A good time was en-joved bv all.
