158 GraduateAt EbonyEbony Heights school had its first graduation exercises in the new cafetorium when 158 graduates received diplomas.The processional was by Carey I^ewis with the Rev. Paul Abbott giving the invocation. Diana Hoag-land presented a solo and the welcome was given by Augustin de la Pena.Superintendent John Barron epoke to the group, telling them that they had climbed six rungs of 12-rung ladder. James Pace presented certificates and the presentation of the class to the junior high principal was by Robert Jackson. Acceptance of the class was by Mrs. Mattye Stell. Benediction was by the Rev. H. Richard Copeland.Hazel Burnett and Florentine Ramirez, graduates representing the class, presented Mr. Jackson a scroll of appreciation and a gift.Ushers were Katherine Palmer, Judy Velten, Janice Bracht, Kath- . ^ erine Rivera, Marilyn Turpin, Helen Carrol Femat, Carolyn Kraus, and Jeanie Crowe.A reception followed for the graduates and parents with Mrs. Paul Cunningham and Mrs. Cecil Toombs as hostesses.
