Swish—out went all 8 monkeys. Expecting something less speedy, the picture above was the best the Express photographer could get. Before he could reload, here wasn’t a monkey left in the box.Shipped to Monticello frofri a wild animaJ importing firm in New York, the monkeys were put into the large, cage at Swan Lake last Friday morning. The smaller picture on the right shows (A) Claude Appleby and (C) Glenn “Casey”* Jones carrying the shipping crate to the monkey pen and (B) Ross Baty carrying the supply of fresh carrots for their first feeding.Weather last weekend was too windy and cold for the monkeys to put on much of a show. They appear, however, to be much more lively than those which were here a year ago.—Express photos.
