The New York artist, Frederick Dorr Steele, and Mrs. Steele were recently the guests of Mias Martha N. Fogg of this town, and have been at the Cbampney place, “Elm-stead,” Deerfield, for two weeks and will remain there daring the summer. Mrs.Cbampney will spend the summer there and also her daughter, Mrs. John Humphrey of New York. Mrs. Steele is a niece of Miss Fogg.The Grand Army Association of Western Massachusetts will hold Its annual meeting in Memorial hall, Springtleld, Friday, June 12. Department officers of tne G. A. R., W. R.lC., Ladles’ Circle of the G. A. R., 8. of V. and Spanish war veterans are invited to attend. The business meeting will be called at 10.30 and Will be-followed by a basket lunch. Coffee will be served freo.. There will be music, speaking and a general good time.
