Smith, commander of Uie Laurel VFW Post today praised Merrill Pickering and Fred Leonard, co-chairmen for the 1969 Buddy Poppy sale.I can think of nobody in our I organization who have worked harder over the years to assure success of this annual VFW project, and I know with the chair-[manship in their hands, we are si assured a successful sale Satur-yjday.'*t The commander further said, “Of j course, our chairmen are going to need held, lots of it.
