BEAK FACTSSeems there is a new sporting pastime in the countryside. Don’t know that I would recommend it too highly. but ,t could be fun. It is known a= hunt the bear with a .22. ■First of all, George Jasper of Hiding M ountain, out looking for wolf dens, came acr ss a bear d; n. He went back and got friend John Bear (no relation) and they dug out f ur bear cubs. Momma Bear was n t at home but when they shot one of the youngsters, his whimpers brought her on the run and George stopped her with a sh t fr m his .22. They killed one the other youngsters and took the other two home where they are new being raised on the bottle.Then H nrv Prawdz k. living west f Eden, looked out of his window to see a huge beast lumbering around out in the field, dashed out, jumped ::i the car with his .22 rifle, chased the brum around the field and fin-illy caught up with him and dis-p tched him with a single shot that felled the 400-pounder.
