Mrs. Perry Morgan, Secretary, Mrs. Dorothy StampleyHomemakersmeetThe Westside Homemaker s Club met. May 19 at the home of Mrs. Leta Price. The lesson for the day was “Over theCounter Drugs.’ Many valuable hints about the use and care of these drugs was given by Ada Christiansen.Members present were: Jo Woodall, Ruby Seale, Lavena Keel, Luiu Collier, Hazel Leonberger, Mayme Odom, Addie Watt, Alice Whitlow, Donna Rhodes, Ada Christiansen, Wilma Stamer, Margaret Bailey, Lorey Wray, Mrs. Price and one guest, Jennie Stewart.The next meeting will be on June 16 at the home of Lavena Keel. It’s called“Conquistador del Sud” which seems to translate to mean “ringer” tournament, although I’m not altogether sure why. At any rate, all the members who belong tosomething called “State” get to participate and last week honors went to Mary Ridgeway. Even if I’m a little muddled as to what it is, it is always nice to be a winner. Congratulations Mary!We seem to be covering ourselves with glory all over as Margaret Holt and Enid Breen came home with prizes from the State Southern Division Best Ball Tournament held in Tucson.
