82 GRADUATING AT HIGH SCHOOL AT 8:00 TONIGHTEighty-two seniors of the Mur-physboro township high school will graduate tonight • at 8:00 o’clock at the school auditorium.A class characterized as oneof the hardest working and most#talented in the history of the school, will receive diplomas and attending credits.Eugene Pigott will give the sal-utory tonight and Miss Mildred Well is valedictorian.Genuinely loyal to the school’s economic limitations during theyear, due to the general depression, the decision not to observe class day this year has not been allowed to impair the real joys oftho commencement period.Miss Mary Ellen E-siek. senior class vice president, will present tho junior class tonight, and Kenneth Graver, junior president, willaccept.Alumni medals will be presented by J.Miss Claia Blanch: Berger.Dr. It. S. Sabine, president of the township school hoard, will present diplomas for the board. Commencement tonight marksthe :52nd milestone of the famous school which graduated its first class under Principal Kills H. Rogers here in 1901.The splendid school, grown from a four-teacher institution in 190P.now houses one of the linest faculties in southern Illinois and is recognized as one of the state’s first high schools south of hicago in point of work and credits.Principal Albert Nicholas, commenting on the 19:52 class earlierthis week, commended it for itstalents and accomplishments.As a means of assuring relatives and friends of graduates .seats tonight, each graduate has been issued a limited number of -tickets.
