OUT HUNTINGOne day last winter, Mike and I went hunting. First I shot a rabbit. When we went in the buah I hid the rabbit on the aide of the road.We went in about a mile Into the bush and then Mike shot a deer, but only wounded it. We chased it for a couple of miles and then we lost its track, because there were a lot of tracks and I came to a place where they drank. It was a pond on the top of a hill. On our way home I saw a squirrel In an oak tree pulling at the acorns. I watched him for a while. He went up the tree with the acorns, down a hole and came out again with nothing in his mouth. Rut as soon as he saw me he began to chatter. As we went down the hill we heard a sound of a wolf or a hear We did not try to follow it because we were too tired. When we started for home we could not find our way out for a while. When we came out we were just when; we had hid the rabbit and then we went home.i’RANrJS HOLMGREN, Age 13, Grade 6. Pinawa, Men
