A money raising activity was discussed and Mrs. Wynn, adult leader, suggested selling doughnuts and coffee at a sale.Following the business meeting. a demonstration on making a rope halter was given by Vernon Wynn. Evelyn Marne, 4-11 agent, met with the members and talked about homemaking assistance exhibits. Spencer Hammond was chosen as alternate for the club. The home furnishing project was discussed by Margaret Skaar, home agent, who met with the members. The members decided to have a softball team for the summer tournament.NOKAY LAKE — Nine members of the Nokay Lake 4-H club held their regular meeting on Friday evening, May 19, at the Martin Olson home. Richard Olson took charge of the meeting. Delegates chosen to enter t h e county good grooming contest were Evelyn Rothwell and Roald and Richard Olson.Roald Olson was selected to represent the club at Grand Rapids Club Week. Games were played and lunch served following the meeting.RABBIT LAKE—Plans were made by the Rabbit Lake 4-II to have a booth at the fair. Ideas for booth theme will be presented at the next regular meeting of the club. Howard Harms took charge of the May 17 meeting held at the town hall in Rabbit Lake township. Sixteen people svere present.Delores Wolford was chosen to represent the club at Grand Rapids 4-H Week. The good grooming contest was also mentioned. The next meeting was planned for June 8 at the John Pfau home.CROW WING LAKE CHIPPE-WAS — The annual graduation party held by the Chippewas club each year to honor graduates will be held on June 2. Club members graduating this year include Lois Nelson and CarolReichert from the eighth grade. The last regular meeting of the club was on Monday evening, May 15, at the Ned Nelson homo. Following the meeting, games were played and lunch served.ECHO — Twenty-four people, including the parents, attended the regular meeting of the Echo club held at the William Kies home on Wednesday, May 17. At this meeting, members decided to pay part of expenses of delegates to 4-H Club Weeks.Donald Carlson will attend St. Paul 4-H Club Week and William Kies was chosen as the delegate to Grand Rapids 4-11 Week. The club talked about a money-raising activity and tentatively planned to have a pie social. Conservation was the project discussed at the meeting. The next meeting will be held at the Borg home on June 18 in the afternoon.NORTH PRAIRIE — Jesse Tougas and Ben Peterson were chosen to manage the two kitten-ball teams which the North Prairie 4-H club plans to have this summer. Shirley Foy was chosen to represent the club at the good grooming contest to replace Bernice Gangestad who was chosen earlier in the year.The members decided to pay part of the expenses for Ben Peterson who will attend State4-H Club Week and for LelandFoy who will represent the club at Grand Rapids 4-H Week. The members presented a plant to Mrs. Dan Gordon, adult leader of the club.The club will also sell ice cream at the school picnic at Dis-SWANBURG—The Swanburgclub held a program on Friday evening, May 19. Plans for the program were made at the regular meeting held on Tuesday evening, May 16. Committees serving for the program included the following: Clean-up, Leslie Peterson. Gary Moser and Janice Schlapkohl; stage and curtains, Glenyce Moser, Jeanette Schlapkohl and clerk, Leslie Peterson.Other members assisted with the program by serving on the dish washing committee and arranged and put away chairs. At the regular meeting Arvid Raph was chosen to attend Grand Rapids 4-H week.Homemaking assistance was chosen as the theme for the booth and the following committee was appointed to work out plans: Glenyce Moser, JaniceSchlapkohl, Jeanette Schlapkohl, Gary Moser and Arvid Raph. The next meeting was planned for Ji ne 20 at the Leslie Peterson home.LONG LAKE BOOSTERS—Aspecial meeting of junior and adult leaders was held by the leaders in the Long Lake Boosters club on Monday evening, May 15.
