INK ABOUT GREASEPAINT(Continued from Page Four)some pictures again, and will leaveshortly for the coast. It is my opiivion that Muni will be an internationalfavorite in a year. Such skilled andvirile actors are indeed rare.*“Two Seconds”I’m glad I saw the new picture at the Winter Garden Theatre. I thought the story was well told. But I couldn’t look at it again. The reason is be' cause I don’t like to think about such women as the one portrayed too realis' tically by Vivian Osborne in “Two Seconds.” No more despicable creature ever lived than the one who tricks the honest steel worker (Edward G. Rob' inson) into marriage, and then goads him to murder.Although Robinson is starred, Ithink the picture belongs to Miss Os' borne. And I think she should hear many words of praise for her work in ltj iii view of the fact that it called for such a complete transformation—a transformation- from angel to demon. A blond and beautiful demon.Another in line for praise is Preston Foster, who plays a short role as Rob' inson’s pal. This is Foster’s first real reel chance, and he makes the best ofit. The story opens with a death house scene. A doctor is telling the wit' nesses that the man about to die willbe conscious for two seconds after hereceives the shock in the electric chair. The remainder of the film then, relatesthe events in the man’s life which areredived in his mind during those two seconds before death.Any attempt to tell the story would be ineffective. The drama lies in theacting of the excellent cast. *]i1i
