Jonesville won first prize in the first category■In approximately one week, the annual weed and brush control program will begin on Hillsdale County roads.The chemical weed and brush program has proven to !e much more economical and effective than other methods of maintaining road rights-of-way. The chemical sprays which are used in this program are carefully selected to replace undesirable vegetation along roadsides, such as poisonous weeds, •thistles, ragweed and other pollen-producing weeds, with desirable grass cover. They do rot noticeably affect insectswhile the third cat* gory winner was Kenneth Andrews. 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Andrews. 142 S.
