Maj , I'1X0-9AEpiscopal Church Women honor JoAnn AckermanCHARLEROI - The Episcopal Church Women oi SI Mary’s in Charleroi had a special Mother’s Day meeting on May 9 The theme was * The Christian Mother, The Christian Family Honors Our Lady The special feature was the naming of the Woman of the Year This year the honor went to JoAnn Ackerman, wife of the Rev Keith Ackerman Cathy Bongiorno, program chairman, surprised Mrs Ackerman alter reading a bnet description ot some oi the many things she has done at St Mary’s After crown mg her, Cathy presented Mrs Ackerman with a ilower arrangement and necklace Rev Ackerman then presented his wile w ith a statue oi the Blessed .Mother The outing to the Apple Hill Playhouse will be on June 22 The group will see “Steppin Out and have dinner Entertainment was students irom the Charleroi Area High School *Door prize was won by Helen Komck and the kitty was won by Debbie Leech ;Hostesses lor the evening were Ann Cannom, Doris Wagner, Bonnie Cooper and Darlene McGinskyf ATLANTIC CitY~1
