aDINNER FOR MR,IEvent of the Year in Domestic Science Department at J. M. XI.The biggest function of the year In the domestic science department occurred yesterday when the college and professional class gave a tert cent dinner to the founders of the university, ao'l to several members of the faculty.PURPOSE.The dinner was prepared specially for them, and the purpose of it was to show Mr. and Mrs. Mi 111 kin what is be!ng accomplished In at least one of the departments of the university. The dinner was a success in every detail, being not only the prettiest in arrangement and service but excellently planned and cooked.An informal reception was held before the dinner by the guests, President and Mias Taylor, Professor and Mrs. Meserve, Miss Crandall and Mrs. Chambers, when the members of the class in a body were introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Mtllikin.THOSE PRESENT.Those present at this reception were the Misses Clara Baker, Harriet Bryant, Linis Cobb. Julia Curran, Mary Kautz, Jessie Lemon, Betva Mac Arthur, Maud MariJn, Grace Naftul, Rulh Pfobl, Mary Poor. Jean Rucker, Lillie Rosenberg, Mildred Smith, Edna Speck, Kate Trautman, Mrs. Webster and Mra.
