Osmond BrotKers ReturnTo Utah for Saturday ShowA senior citizen excitedly telephoned NBC’s Hollywood offices just after Andy Williams* Christmas Program. “Who are those cute children?” she asked. “I missed their names while the show was on. They are the loveliest, unspoiled, talented heart-stealers I’ve seen in years.”The pleasant caller was told that the youngsters were The Osmond Brothers of Ogden,Utah. The same Osmond4th GradersItah Firsters, Mrs. Lucille Babcock and Mrs. Mary Beth Seymore,The project was begun lastfall when the 86 children went to the Utah State Fair. However, the main study has been concentrated since March. The children went to the City and County Building in Provo, then to the Wasatch County Building in Heber to see the contrast between problems in a grazing county as opposed to industrial-fruit county, said Mrs. Babcock.Fairfield with the old Inn where Pony Express riders came and the cemetery for soldiers in Johnston’s Army was visited, and the children learned the differences among city, state and national parks.The latest trip was taken to Southern Utah where they saw various county buildings. In Cove Fort the owner, Mary Kes* ler Davies, spoke to the group for about one hour on how the fort was restored and showed relics of early Utah history. The children were privileged to mount the huge 2fcmule team Conestaga wagon. They came back through Fillmore where they went into the old state capltot building. jOn Friday the children will see the Beehive House, Temple Grounds, Primary Children’s Hospital and take a guided tour of toe State Capitol. They will then go to This Is the Place Monument and see the mural and, hear the record, then on to Pioneer Village for about 1% hours. The children earned the money for the trip themselves.Wednesday night the children gave a dinner for their parents and special guests featuring products of Utah industry such as turkey grown in Utah County. On display were Utah industries and the dinner was paid for by a cupcake sale toe children had.Brothers who will be appearing at Lagoon this Saturday at 8:30 p.m. The group is composed of four brothers, Alan, 13; Wayne, 11; Merrill, 0; and Jay, 7.The boys’ professional career started when they heard a radio broadcast from Chicago of the world championship barbershop quartet competition and immediately fell in love with this form of singing. They sang for everyone who would listen and could never seem to get their fill of singing.
