H. Weaver Co., was in the car as » passenger, and acknowledges having urged on the driver of the car to speed up to avoid a collision. As the driver did not come forward and seek to make matters rights Mr. Hato d5d. H© asked if the department thought him in any way to blame. When the representative of the department gave a sort of half-hearted assent Mr. Hale said that was sufficient for him, so he called for a check book and wrote out his personal check for $65—the cost of the repairs. We also want to say that Mr. Hale has not seen us and we have not seen him, so he is not seeking publicity, but the depart ment feel that his act is worthy of public notice.College Bend Civet ConcertFriday evening at 6:45 the College Band will give a concert at the Park for about one hour, when they will march to the Movieland Theatre, and furnish msic for the entertainment given there for the benefit of the 3*1- f igui vation Army drive.
