Reports from officerswere given during thebusiness session, and a discussion on visitation was held.Mrs. Hughes gave the calendar of prayer withthree missionaries having birthdays on the meeting date. She also read a letter from Marie Rogers, amissionary, who gave high lights of her work, and closed with a poem, “A Recipe For God.The program was given by Mrs. W.L. Greer, entitled “You Are In Good Hands.” She also led the group in repeating the 23rd Psalm, and told them that everybody needs something or someone to trust, and Christians find trust in the Lord. She cautioned members not to believe that tragedies are the fault of God, but of people. She closed the program with a prayer.During! the hour of fellowship the hostess served refreshments of ribbon sandwiches, pineapple icebox dessert, tidbits and iced tea to 19 members present.The residents at Cartwheel Lodge had a week full of activities. Monday started off with a domino meet with the Cartwheel residents ofLuling coming here. Lawrence Haba and Tom Young held the head table.Tuesday Mrs. Lena Mudd, Mrs. Georgia Frierson, Ignacio Guzman, Eustagio Guzman and Donna Pozehl went with some of the Luling Cartwheel residents to attend the mid-coastal Chapter picnic in Yoakum. Bingo was played after the picnic. Wednesday Mrs. Tillie Philippus, Mrs. W.A. Bradley, Lawrence Huba, Max Heinemeyer, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Young, Barbara Dreyer and Donna Pozehlwent to Seguin to eat Kentucky fried chicken for dinner. Later that afternoon the residents showed their appreciation to the staff. Mrs. Wanda Lamphrect sang, she was accompanied by Mrs. Eva Tate. Punch and doughnuts were served.Thursday evening the choir from the First Baptist Church sang for thevolunteers and residents.We wish to thank them for coming, everybody enjoyed the music very much. Friday a picnic dinner was held onHouston.Corrine Smith of Gonzales visited Mrs. Louise Har-borth. She was also visited by Bernice Heldarsen ofGonzales.Visiting Lynn Smith was Leon W. Roberts of Needville.Savino Suniga, Frank Olmos, Adam Zavala of San Antonio, all visited Willie Suniga.the patio of the home.Everybody was outside toenjoy the good weather and picnic.Visiting Mrs. Lena Mudd this week were Mrs. Johnnie Mills, Merle McNeill of Victoria, Miss Winata Smith of San Antonio and Mrs. Nettie Wilkerson of Harwood.Nelda Patteson from Smiley came to visit Mrs. Lenore Boothe.Mrs. Clifton Raecke of Cost visited with Mrs. Tillie Philippus, Mrs. Ella Philippus, and Mrs. Meta Nagel.Visiting Mrs. Fullilove was Mrs. Seals Walker ofMike DouglasHappy Days Feud2nd Change Ryan's Hope NewsMy Children
