FRESHMAN CLASS OF ItELTOX HI HONOREDAs a result of the contest waged among the classes of Belton High school as to which would have the most mothers present at the P.-T. A. meetings during the last semester, the freshman class, being successful, was entertained with a delightfui lawn party Wednesday evening, at the home of Mr. and Mrs L. P. Heard on North Main street.Colored balloons and colored lights gaily decorated the Heardlawn and various out-door games gave diversion for the young guests. A contest was staged to select the most popular boy and girl present, and as a result, Claude Van Dyke and Mary Lee Mulhollan were crowned king and queen of the evening in a clever little ceremony as a conclusion of the evening’spleasures.Salad, sandwiches and tea made up the delicious refreshment course wThich brought to a close this happy occasion.
