E. Stealy. * gShe became a member of the button collectors of the nation, a group that ranks behind but two other hobbyist groups in membership—coin and stamp collectors. The two leaders claim first place but the button gatherers are not challenged with the claim to ranking third Mrs; Stealy has buttons of all descriptions. Many crest buttons from England were worn on .thebility. She won first prize at the National Button Show in Chicago a couple of years ago on her hand-painted porcelain shirtwaist studs, which were worn during the gay nineties. Other favorites are the silver hallmarked buttons and one recently acquired is a 17th century Dutch Cavalry hallmarked silver button which is really a museum piece.She was secretary* of the Michigan Button Society for two years, wa^ treasurer and at present is president of the society which is celebrating iU tenth anniyersary with a twoITT75TW7 Ml TTTTTTTu HR M iT»7Partf ■ vM. i U4 i OT :(WLT9 and 20thFt the Masonic Temple in Marshall.
