Flying Fortress Winner Wishes Now He Had Lost ContestAMARILLO, Texas, May 14 (UP) Bob P. Brents, filling station manager, won a Flying Fortress by writing an essay on “What I d do with a Flying Fortress if I had one. Now he doesn’t know what to dowith it.i His essay proposed placing the | plane on Boys’ Ranch, Texas counter-I part of Boys’ Town, Neb., so young-1 sters could play “bomber pilot.I But the Army won’t fly the plane Ifrom the Stillwater (Okla.) graveyard” because of regulations. Brents can’t find a qualified civilian pilot and can’t afford do have the planeshipped.i He is now thinking of; writing 1 another essay on “I wouldn t have a 5 Flying Fortress if you gave me one.
