THE HYPERION.Harry Carey is the big feature of the Sunday night program at the Hyperion appearing in one of his typical western pictures, ’‘Bullet Proof/’ which tells the story of a young ecclesiast who turns bandit to avenge his father’s death ; of a sacred talisman which saves him from many perils and of a love which leads him back to a straight path. Carey has won his way into the affections of theatregoers all over the world, and because he is so popular is the reason he appears at the Hyperion in all of his new releases. The associate feature on the same bill, brings Earle M'etcalfe w ho recently appeared in person at the Hyperion, co-starring this time with Claire Whitney in “The Chamber Mystery,” a comedy drama just as good as the famous “Mickey.” Other features on the same program include a Big V comedy, “Loafers and Lovers,” which is an assured half hour of screams and there w'ill be the Kinograms and other features. Seats on the orchestra floor may be reserved in advance. So tremendously successful have the Hyperion Players been in musical comedy the past season that arrangements were made by General Manager Thatcher with Comstock and Gest for the producing rights of “Oh, Lady, Lady,” one of the biggest of the Princess theatre successes. That daintily, delightful musical comedy will be the offering the coming week, being presented with an augmented cast which will include Eugene Mac Gregor who will play “Spike Hudson,” his role in the original production, and Miss Lyn Cantor who will play “May Barber” as she did in the original production. In addition Director Steele will proudly proffer what he fully believes will be the prettiest and cleverest octette of New Haven girls who will appear in several ensemble numbers. Every one of the girls is a real professional and has singing and dancing experience in that line, notably Vera Orrell, who has just closed a tour with Will Ward and his Girls, and Florence Murphy for a long time the best exponent of ballroom dancing in the siate.Mr. Van Buren will have the role of the bridegroom, Miss St. Claire that of the bride, and the two crooks will be played by Eugene MacGregor and Miss Williams. The tuneful numbers include: Opening chorus, Miss St.Claire, bridesmaids and ushers; “Not Yet,” Miss St. Claire and Mr. Dilson; Our Little Nest,” Miss Williams and Mr. MacGregor; “Do Look at Him,” Miss St. Claire, girls and boys; “Oh, Lady, Lady,” Mr. Dilson, girls and boys; “You’ve Found Me and I’ve Found You,” Mr. Van Buren and Miss Cantor; “Do It Now,”-Mr. Dilson and Mr. Van Buren and Mr. MacGregor; “The Moon Song,” Miss Morse and girls and boys; “Some Girlie Will Be Waiting Round the Corner,” Miss Cantor, Mr. Smith and Mr. Rourke; “When the Ships Come Home,” Miss St. Claire and girls; “Melo Drama,” Miss St. Claire and Mr. Dilson; “Greenwich Village,” Miss Williams, Mr. Dilson and Mr. MacGregor; “Love Here Is My Heart,” Miss Cantor; “Hard, Hard World for Men,” Mr. Lindhard, Mr. Dilson, Mr. Van Burean and girls. The local professionals to appear include Misses Orrell, Westley, Doherty, Bowen, Lee, Morse and Murphy, and Messrs.
