This morning’s Philadelphia Recordsays:One of the oldest mid best known families of Central Pennsylvania, the Quiggles. are planning a reunion at Me.Elhattan Springs, Clinton county, during July. These reunions have been held at various parks in the Susquehanna valley every year since 15*01. but this will be the first one held at MeEIhattan Springs “made famous by the late Colonel James W. Quiggle. !t was here that Colonel Quiggle erected his trout fishery in the late 60's and also carried on his experiments with the American tea plant. The springs are located a half mile from the site of the Wayne . campgrounds. which were donated by Colonel Quiggle. Cntil the 1889 flood Wayne camp meeting’’ was a household word all over the state. John Brady, the pioneer, married Mary Quiggle, and Captain Sam Brady was the son of this union. Robert 0. Quiggle, of Pine Station, Clinton county, president of the family association. is now S2 years of age and a fine, vigorous specimen of manhood.
