Very Successful May Festival Under Auspices of Holy Rosary Church Parish, South Boston. The May festival in Bethesda and Bernice halls, South Boston, last even ing, under the auspices of the Holy Rosary church parish, was a success far exceeding the fondest anticipations of the committee in charge. More than 1000 people attended, and the good time lasted until long after midnight. There was a concert of unusual excel lence which consisted of a mandolin selection by the new mandolin and gui tar club, followed by a vocal quartet selection “We Have a Very Bad Cold,” by Misses Mary Connelly and Mary Clougherty, Messrs Matthew Guhrane and Joseph Oliver, mandolin and guitar selection, a violin solo by Miss May Berle, vocal solo by Miss Lillian Brouthers, mandolin selection, costume dancing by Miss May Foley, guitar and violin selection, vocal quartet by Misses Mary Stack and Gertrude Callahan, Messrs Henry Powers and Frank O'Brien, a selection by the mandolins, guitars and violins and a chorus by the sanctuary choir. The accom panists of the evening were Misses An nie Meaney and Mollie Connors. Dancing was then in order under the direction of Alderman Hugh W. Bres nahan as Hoor_ director, James P. O'Brien, Joseph P. Kelley and George C. Stowell assistant floor directors,John J. Maliff chief of ushers, J. J. Keating, D. J. Keohane, G. W. Rigby, Joseph Nee, Joseph Arroll, J. J.
