County Auditor Moreland was requested to procure a book and keep the same in his office k-r the j urposc ol recording the names ol all the old settlers of this county, their ages, place ol birth, ume of removal to Indiana and to Howard counts. and any other information he deemed necessary to obtain. This record Mr. Moreland obtained, and the same was placed in his office. Quite a number ol the old settlers have recorded the information asked lor in the book, but there are a large number who have not. As the object in view is the permanent organization of a Pioneers' Association, it is desired that all should enroll their names as last as possible.
