Pearson, formerly of the Columbian Carbon Camp near C' Sunray, has Ihe lead in the movie tr“Bye Bye Birdie,” which opened ti last month in tile Radio City Mu- ai sic Hall in New York.His parents now live in Eunice,| N.M.Pearson, a 6-foot-3 singer, plays tithe title role of Conrad Birdie.He is the rock and roll star who is drafted into the service, and wheels into town on a gold motorcycle in a gold suit to deliver ‘‘One East Kiss” to Ann Mar-gret. who won “One Last in a record promotion.Pearson played the same role in the National Road Company for a year before signing a contract with Columbia for the movie.Pearson’s latest single recordfRAi is “One Last Kiss, from the movie. His latest album, ‘“'Hie Glory of Love.” has just been released. Pearson will appear \4May 19 on Ed Sullivan's TVshow.Pearson, a graduate of Borger High School, was born in Louisiana.
