FLAX GROWING RESUMED.The growing of flax, which was formerly an important industry here but which has been entirely abandoned for many years, is likely to be resumed again, in the opinion of several far-sighted farmers. Indeed, one field of flax is now growing in Payette county, on the Daniel Kerschner farm, just north of the city. The great increase in the price of llax and flax seed is responsible for the return of interest in'it, and it is thought probable by those who are well informed on the subject that these prices will be high for some time.
