MRS.C. ARTERNAMED HEAD OFWOMAN'S CLUBMrs. Carroll E. Arter was elect* ed president of the Woman's Community Club of Uttlestown and Vicinity. at the May meeting of theclub Wednesday evening in the social room of the Eagles Home.Other officers elected were: Mrs, J. Ray Reindollar, first vice-president; Mrs. Harold Study, second %fce-president: Mrs. Paul E. Al-toff, recording secretary; Mrs. Anna B. Leach, assistant record-in;' secretary; Mrs. George C. De-hoff. corresponding secretary:Miss Malva A Duttera, treasurer, and Mrs Atlee F. Rebert. parliamentarian. Installation will take place at the June 14 meeting.Mrs Emerson F. Muller, who has served the club as president for the past two years, conducted the business meeting which opened with pledge to the fag and the Club Collect. Reports were presented from Mrs. Anna B. Leach and Miss Malva A. Duttera. VOTE DONATIONS Contributions voted by the club included $10 each to the Brownie Scouts for their Fly-Up ceremony; Girl Scouts for their Court ofAwards: Boy Scout Troop #4 and Cub Pack 84; $5 each to the cancer fund and the heart fund; $1 for Easter Seals; $20 to the Community Center and $25. the annual gift, to the Warner Hospital. Mrs. Orville C. Sentz reported on theman, Misa Lillian Demmitt, Mrs Robert J. Eckenrode, Mrs. Herbert Matthews, Mrs. Walter Meh-ring, Mrs. Walter Morelock Sr., Mrs. Willis Snyder and Mrs. Mer-vin Weikert. New committee aa-signments by the president consist of Mrs. Fred Scott to the program committee; Mrs. Lloyd Bortner to international affairs and Mrs. William Grove, to public affairs.It was announced that the annual convention of the state federation of Women’s Club* will bs held the last week of May in Harrisburg and those planning to attend are asked to notify the president. The national convention will be held in San Francisco and this year again there will be a summer conference at Penn State; information about both can be secured from Mrs. Muller. Members were reminded about past due dues.Mrs. Vernon Snyder, chairman of the home life department, which was in charge of the evening's program, presented Mrs. Carl H. Baumgardner, who gave three readings Spring,” “Da Little Boy and The Jones Brothers”; Miss Beverly Hess, who sang three selections Summertime, Italian Steet Song andLittle Damoiselle. accompanied on the piano by Miss A. Marie Budde; Mrs. Emory Gift, who read two poems “The Grumble Family and ’Talk. Musical entertainment was provided by The Basic Four.” Larry Bunty, announcer, vocalist and tambourine; Kevin Zubrum, vocalist and drums; Ricky Reinaman. baas guitar, and Danny Brown, rhythm guitar.
