Peaks Island got the big fire late Wednesday that everybody has feared would come. There is protection at the city end of the Island hut poor roade delay whatever runs are made: elsewhere. A careless person started a forest fire and eight cottages were prey to the flames, with contents, entailing a heavy loss. The flreboat reached the scene In season to prevent destruction of the Knickerbocker Hotel and other nojirhv catiutrpH.
