Webb s Chapel WSCS HeldsAnnual Mother-Daughter MeetAnnual mother-daughter meeting of the Woman s Society of Christian Service of Webb's Chapel Methodist Church was held Thursday evening at Fellowship llall. A potluck supper was enjoyed by 33 members and guests. Grace preceding the meal was voiced by Mrs. Jack Glick. Bouquets of spring flowers decorated each table. Favors, made by Mrs. Clinton St. Clair, were given each guest.Mrs. Orlie Redd presided during the program that followed. Three Mother's Day songs were sung by the group. Special recognition was given to the oldest mother present, Glada Alltop, and to the youngest, Ixmella Patton. A tribute to mothers was read by Mrs. Norman Redd and Mrs. Harley St. Clair responded with a tribute to daughters.“Sweetest Mother and “Dear Jesus, Abide with Me, were duets beautifully sung by Mrs. Tommy Dupler and Miss Vi Woodard, with Mrs. Neil Redd as piano accompanist.Melvin Yutzy, as guest speaker, stressed the importance of motherhood for the 31 million mothers in America. He said human beings must conform to God or be very unhappy — as each will reap what he sows. He challenged the mothers of 1963 to recapture a vision ofChrist as the answer to the needs of living in today's world.Prayer in closing was given by Mrs. Edward St. Clair.Those present were: Mrs. Orlie Redd. Mrs. Norman Redd, Mrs. Neil Redd, Mrs. Tommy Dupler. Vi Woodard. Louise Coakley, Mrs. Homer Mason, Mrs. Joe Ruff, Marcia St. Clair, Mrs. Harley St.Clair.
