Huron Choir To Sing Over AirHuron High school a cappella choir, consisting of 40 member* i• * Iand the largest choir In the* school’s history, will sing a IS**;minute program over Columbus radio station WSOU, Friday, May 16, from 7 to 7:15 p. m. The ■ choir is under the direction of Miss Margaret E. Williams and has been a robed choir for eight years, with Miss Williams its onlydirector.This is the third time that the Huron High a cappella choir has been invited to take part inWOSU’s ‘'High School Caravan” program. It will travel to Columbus by school bus. Invitation is extended to al! friends of the school and to alt others to listen in to the program. WOSCI is 820 on^the dial.A total of seven selections, iri*** eluding several of famous composers, negro spirituals, folks' songs and hymns are listed on the program. Featured will be a number by the Huron boys quartet which recently won the uNo. II” rating in the north ceh** iral district contest at Fremont?’4 Members of the quartet are William Basilone, Fred Hammond,;' George Muehlhauser and Richard Payne.The radio program will open with the first verse and close with the second verse of the Huron alma mater.
